Conference "Alternative Expressions of the Numinous"

"Alternative Expressions of the Numinous" is a conference to be presented within the School of History, Philosophy, Religion and Classics at the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia. This interdisciplinary conference will explore topics including (but not limited to): Esotericism Mysticism Alternative expressions of major religions Religions of re-enchantment Popular culture religions Indigenous religions Paganism and Neo-Paganism New Religious Movements Personalised religion Alternative methodologies Registration will be available from March 30 2006. The conference is presented by: The Queensland Society for the Study of Religion (QSSR) is an incorporated not-for-profit association dedicated to fostering the interdisciplinary academic study of religion. It publishes a twice-yearly, peer-reviewed journal, Khthónios. A special issue of Khthónios will be published containing selected conference proceedings.
