Born 1947 in Graz, Austria. Doctor degree in law at the University of Graz in 1970. Since 1973 permanent residence in Italy as manager of an export company. From 1978 onwards residence in Switzerland and setting up of an international commercial enterprise with its focal point in the Far East. At the same time partner in an esoteric publishing house (Ansata Verlag) in Switzerland. 1992 sale of the commercial enterprise and return to Austria. 1996 founding of the esoteric-academic journal Gnostika becoming its co-editor. Author of the book Der verborgene Geist von Eranos (Bretten 2001). Contributions to esoteric and academic journals in various countries and to specialised encyclopedias in the same field plus numerous introductions to esoteric classics. Special interests: Connections between the history of religions, politics and esotericism; magical and sex magical groups and activities mainly in Germany and Italy but also in France and England in the 20th century; Traditionalism (Perennialism) and the careers of Julius Evola and Giuliano Kremmerz; book collecting.
