This is a completely corrected and re-edited edition of Meric Casaubon's "True & Faithful Relation of what Passed between Dr John Dee ..and some Spirits, 1659. It has been checked and collated against the original MS written by Dee, and verified by referencing the copies corrected by Elias Ashmole, William Shippen and Casaubon's post publication notes. Josten's text has been added in. Detailed introduction, Dee timeline, and an analysis of the missing pages/periods, plus varoius appendices, including an itinerary of Dee's European travels. A total of 5401 footnotes. |
