The first part contains the developement of a method to analyze descriptions of religious experiences according to an model of empericism (relying on and 'updating' W. James). Then, I develop a conceptual framework by looking at some central teachings of Tibetan Buddhism (Gelug Tradition), and finally, using the method and the conceptual framework, I analyze instructions to meditate.
The most important result is the strong relationship between emptiness and consciousness, enriched by concrete elements of experience. |
